Meet Your Providers
Supporting Mental Wellness with Compassion, Care, and Clinical Expertise
Meet Charles Scribner, your Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
’m Charles Scribner, PMHNP-BC, and founder of Peaceful Presence Mental Health. With over 16 years of experience across critical care, hospital-based care, and behavioral health, I support adolescents and adults navigating ADHD, mood concerns (anxiety and depression), high-stress roles, and life transitions.
Working in high-acuity settings — including trauma hospitals and during the COVID pandemic — shaped a compassionate, grounded, and personalized approach to care. It also deepened my understanding of how closely mental, emotional, and physical health are connected, and how important it is to care for the whole person.
Growing up in an unstable environment, along with a lack of supportive male role models, influenced my understanding of how deeply environment, support systems, and life experiences shape emotional well-being. These experiences helped form a perspective rooted in resilience, humility, and the belief that the right support at the right time can make a meaningful difference.
Together, my professional and personal experiences shape the patience, confidence, and intentionality I bring to my work with clients. Many of the people I work with are capable and hardworking individuals who appear strong on the outside but internally feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of their direction. My role is to help bring clarity to what you’re experiencing, support emotional stability, and develop practical tools that allow you to move forward with greater confidence and balance — both in your day-to-day life and long-term well-being.
Individuals I work with naturally include:
• Adolescents and adults navigating ADHD and challenges with attention, focus, and executive functioning.
• New parents experiencing burnout, overwhelm, and the transition into parenthood
• First responders, healthcare professionals, and others working in high-stress environments
• Men and young men seeking greater clarity, direction, and emotional strength
• Individuals seeking support in exploring identity, belonging, and personal direction
If you are looking for thoughtful psychiatric care that is grounded, practical and focused on long-term well-being, I welcome the opportunity to work with you.
