ADHD Evaluation and Treatment in Brea, CA
When focus, memory, and follow-through aren't what they used to be, you deserve a real answer, not a guess. I start with a careful evaluation, then we build a plan that fits how you actually work and live.
ADHD treatment at Peaceful Presence starts with a thorough evaluation of your history, focus, sleep, mood, and daily life. If ADHD is part of the picture, we build a plan together that can include medication management, practical strategies, and follow-up visits. I see adolescents and adults in person in Brea and by secure video across California.

What an ADHD evaluation looks at
ADHD is more than trouble paying attention. It can show up as procrastination, lost keys, unfinished projects, a restless mind at night, or the feeling that you work twice as hard as everyone else for the same result.
Many of those signs overlap with anxiety, depression, poor sleep, and burnout. That's why the evaluation asks about much more than focus. I look at your childhood and school history, your work and relationships, your sleep, your mood, and anything that could be adding to the problem.
The goal is a clear explanation of what is driving your symptoms, so the plan treats the cause and not only the loudest symptom.
Who an ADHD evaluation can help
You don't need a diagnosis to start. These are some common reasons people reach out.
Adults who were never diagnosed
Many adults, and many men in particular, grew up being called lazy or unmotivated. If you've always struggled to start or finish things, an adult evaluation can finally give you a clear answer.
Adolescents with school struggles
When grades slip, homework becomes a nightly battle, or a teen seems to try hard and still fall behind, an evaluation can sort out ADHD from anxiety, sleep problems, and other causes.
People whose current treatment isn't working
If you already have a diagnosis but your medication causes side effects, wears off too early, or doesn't seem to help, we can look at the whole plan again together.
How I approach ADHD care
I take time with every evaluation. You'll have the same provider at every visit, and you'll understand what we're doing and why.
If medication makes sense, we talk through the options, the possible side effects, and what to watch for. Stimulant medications are controlled substances, so I follow the current federal and California rules for prescribing and monitoring them. We adjust the plan at follow-up visits based on how you feel and function day to day.
