What therapy here looks like

Therapy is a space to talk through what's weighing on you with someone who listens closely and responds honestly. We look at patterns in how you think, feel, and react, and why they show up.

Insight alone isn't the goal. We also work on strategies you can use between sessions, in the moments that are hardest for you.

Who therapy can help

You don't need a crisis to start. Many people come because they want things to feel better than they do.

Stress, anxiety, and low mood

When worry, sadness, or irritability keep showing up, therapy helps you understand them and respond differently.

Life changes and relationships

Work changes, parenting, loss, and relationship strain are easier to work through with support.

People already on medication

Medication can help with symptoms. Therapy adds the skills and understanding to build on it.

How I approach therapy

Sessions feel like a real conversation, not a script. I'll ask questions, share what I notice, and suggest strategies that fit your life.

Because I'm also a psychiatric nurse practitioner, therapy can sit alongside medication management in one plan, with the same provider for both. If a specialized therapy would serve you better, I'll tell you and help you find it.

If you are in crisis, call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or call 911.

Questions

Questions, answered.

What kind of therapy do you offer?

Conversational, collaborative sessions focused on insight and practical strategies. We talk through what's going on, look at patterns, and build skills you can use between sessions. If a specialized form of therapy would serve you better, I'll tell you and help you find a therapist who offers it.

Can I do therapy and medication management with the same provider?

Yes. Because I'm a psychiatric nurse practitioner, therapy and medication management can be part of one plan with the same provider. Therapy can also stand on its own if medication isn't part of your plan.

How often are therapy sessions?

It depends on your goals and schedule. Many people start with regular sessions and space them out as things improve. We decide the rhythm together.

Can I do therapy by video?

Yes. I see patients by secure video anywhere in California, and in person at the Brea office. Find a private space where you can talk freely.
